Hardman House, developed by Carpenter Investments, is ideally placed for students from both University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moore's University. Since it opened in August 2019, it has appealed to students seeking premium quality accommodation in an excellent location. It is located very close to the buildings of the Mount Pleasant Campus and is less than a two-minute walk from the LJMU's Aldham Robarts Library and is also adjacent to the new Education Building, also designed by L7.

Hardman House occupies a substantial plot of land at the corner of Hardman Street and South Hunter Street. It borders Back Maryland Street on the north side and is adjoined on the west side by the 'Fly in the Loaf', formerly Kirkland's Bakery.

All apartments are light and spacious, offering many spectacular views across the City and the River Mersey. The attractive courtyard offers precious quiet, amenity space amongst delightful planting for sitting and relaxation. Secure internal cycle storage is provided for cycle users.

This building contains 350 en-suite bedrooms in 2 & 4 bedroom student apartments, and various student studio apartment types, all in a vibrant city centre setting close to Liverpool's best student 'hangouts'. All apartments are fully furnished and include a generous lounge area with a comfortable sofa and extra storage space. The studios are open plan with large beds a private bathroom and kitchen facilities and great views of Liverpool City Centre.

Hardman House is located on a historic site that was occupied by St Philip's church in 1815-16. It was one of three churches in Liverpool designed by Thomas Rickman and constructed by John Cragg, proprietor of the Mersey Iron Foundry, in which cast iron was used in new ways. The church was closed in 1882 and sold, by auction, to the Salvation Army. A cast iron window from the original Church building has been retained and erected in the courtyard behind the building. Therefore, celebrating the rich heritage of this site.
